Should I hire a designer?

You're in the right place if: you need help with interior design, remodel, or new build. Hiring a designer is perfect for individuals struggling to make all the overwhelming decisions themselves, or who simply don’t have the time or expertise to tackle the project alone. If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, afraid to make mistakes, or don’t know where to start to get the outcome you want, a designer can provide the help you need. As design professionals, we know exactly what to do and how to do it right the first time. Our goal is to help our clients rest easy and lessen the burden of the design process. While our clients can focus on other priorities, we do what we do best by: creating exceptional design, carefully crafting a space plan that makes sense and is functional, yet beautiful, and sourcing the perfect interior elements that will bring the design to life.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a designer?

I believe in working with people you can connect with and trust. Work with someone who is professionally trained but most importantly that they would actively listen to your concerns and wishes, and who has your best interest at heart (not their own). I like to think we are in this world to help each other out and utilize our talents to serve others with our unique God-given abilities.

Do you have a specific style that you like working with?

No, in fact, I welcome a challenge when it comes to design styles. I believe everyone finds unique inspiration through their own experiences, and I love to hear about those sources of inspiration. In addition, I believe people’s taste is always evolving and changing as time goes by and new trends arrive! The key is to reach within and find that happy place that feels right for you and your family today! Through effective communication and a transparent relationship, I strive to get to know my clients, how they utilize their space, their likes, and dislikes and what makes their heart sing! Then I take that, elevate it up a high notch and ensure I design a thoughtfully curated design plan. My goal is to surpass my client’s expectations for a beautiful and functional interior design.

How do you charge?

To best suit our clients, we offer two proposal alternatives: 1) an hourly design rate for when the scope is less defined or when we provide on-site hourly consultations and 2) a flat fee design proposal with a very specific and defined scope of work or bundle package. After the initial consultation, we’ll determine together the structure that best suits your needs.

What does your “design fee” cover?

Our design fee compensates us for all the creative work done, and creative solutions offered based on our education and experience. The creative process ensures we brainstorm, and propose the best design possible for your space and offer solutions to design challenges. We provide advice on which furniture pieces, colors, fixtures, and materials will work great and pulling the whole design together for a cohesive, unified look.
